DANCING in September!

Connor & Aidan celebrated their 3rd Birthday on September 18th! It's so hard to believe that they are 3 years old! Where has the time gone? My precious twin boys are growing up (too fast).  Their birthday is always so special to all of our family, and we try to party the whole month!  Aidan & Connor know their birthday song will always be "Dancing in September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire.  Anywhere we go in the van, they will ask to hear THEIR "Birthday Song!"  We love listening to them sing along; it is adorable!

Connor & Aidan are doing great, and they still never fail to amaze us with how well they adapt to their ever changing world!  Will and I are so impressed with how loving they are with "Baby Grant" as they call him!  They have been so affectionate and want to kiss and "pet" him!  Luckily Grant doesn't mind the noise that Aidan & Connor make, because the twins can't quite grasp the concept of being quiet when the baby is asleep!  Aidan & Connor health-wise are well; at their 3 year old check-up surprisingly they both weighed 31 pounds and were 37 inches tall (50th percentile)!  They started back to preschool the week Grant was born.  They have had such a wonderful learning experience at their preschool, and the boys were excited to see all their friends again!  Aidan & Connor also adore their teachers, and we appreciate all that the preschool staff does for the twins.

Connor & Aidan say some of the funniest things now, and we definitely don't give them enough credit on how much they pick up.  We were trying to get Connor to eat some green beans the other day, and he told us he was sick with the hiccups and couldn't eat any!  They have both asked several times if Grant wants to pee pee on the potty or if Grant likes milkshakes!  One evening when we were in Winston, Aidan said he wanted apples for supper.  We told him we were in a hurry and that it would be hard to find apples at a fast food restaurant.  We happen to pass Applebee's restaurant and Aidan said, "Hey Mom that place has apples, let's eat there please, please!"  It was too cute!  Connor also told Aidan the other day (when Aidan ran out the door before him), "Hey Aidan, you know you aren't supposed to go anywhere without me!"  My little guys are so active and interested in sports (especially basketball), learning the alphabet (they almost know every letter and a word that each letter starts with), exploring outside by Pops and G-Mom's creek, riding their grandfathers' tractors, learning about Papa's cows, cooking "pancakes & waffles" with Dad, playing their drum set (both novices for sure but may one day be rock stars); you name it, they want to do it!  We are really enjoying watching our 3 little boys grow!
